He was both a human mutant and superhero. The Amazing Spider-Man was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and published by Marvel Comics in 1962. From a comic book legend to a movie star, our hero has swung into his 50th year with The Amazing Spider-Man breaking box office records. Last year Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark set a record as the most expensive musical on Broadway at an estimated cost of $70 million. Clearly, Peter Parker still has what it takes.
